I suppose the best place to start would have to be my intention prior
to spending time with the horses. In my mind I always remembered
hearing how horses act as a mirror; they reflect one's true emotions.
This concept stuck with me, yet I had no idea just how powerful such
experiences would turn out. Every morning I am with these amazing
creatures I discover just how much I have to learn (and just how much
they have to teach me!) Lessons such as patience & caring &
unconditional love have all surfaced through the simple acts of
feeding and care taking. It is a gift beyond value, and I am truly
grateful for such opportunity.

Last winter I offered my manual labor to the Horse Path for a sole
purpose of spending more time outdoors and being helpful to other beings.
I was searching for balance and insight that nature and animals can
bring to one's life. I had no prior experience with horses. I had
no idea how much more I would get out of it. I bonded with one of
the horses that brought a powerful inspiration to my life.
By interaction with horses and practicing communication on the energy
level rather then verbal, I grew calmer, happier and more sure footed
